A warehouse at the North Pole needs your help! Control the flow of temperature within each level, and use it to activate devices and solve the puzzle. The doors are locked, but Temperature is key!

Controls: Mouse

Thanks for trying out this first version of Cold Storage! If you could give me some feedback in the comment section, it would be very helpful.

Specifically:

1) How easy/difficult were the puzzles?

2) Were there any bugs or glitches ?

3) Was the logic of the puzzles or the instructions unclear at any point?

Edit 4) What did you think of the art/visuals?

Thanks again in advance :)

Really enjoyed the work, your theme is perfect for the theme. Makes me wonder have you worked as an engineer in for transportation system? Only they suffer enough to think of a temperature game this perfect. Had a good feeling about it as it was related somewhat to work

1. The 4th one was a little difficult specially because I got tired of reading the instructions of the window and how it works. Maybe there is a way around for not so much text.

2. Only thing I saw was the crates getting stuck between doors when they are opening and closing. Not sure if it was intended though as it was not game breaking. But this could an added mechanic to keep the door open.

3. 4th level with the window mechanic.

4. Loved it! I think a little added post processing on lights  ( maybe increasing ambient occlusion) can help with feeling a little cold on the colder sections and adding some volumetric effects on the hot section. But visuals are amazing no doubt!

Writing this as i am playing: your game's initial look makes me wonder if anybody made a game using the theme as in "you're getting hotter/colder (in the treasure hunt meaning)". Anyway, back to the game! Really nice all around.

1. The fourth level was a bit difficult but i guess that's expected.

2. Got stuck at the third level with the freezer between the doors. It could not move so the doors are constantly closing. Maybe the doors could "blockable" and allow the blocking trolley to move or the indoors doors could be avoided.

3. Couldn't always keep up to the text speed and was able to pass all four levels. I wonder if could do the same without any text at all, apart from the item properties of course.

4. Really nice. The tiles were awesome!

Really enjoyed this overall, it was clear and concise. I would love to see snapping to tile, adjustable properties and maybe popups on the chosen items. Of course all of these would be asking too much of a week long jam. Very nice work!

(+1)

1) The puzzles were pretty easy, the last one had me a bit confused for a few moments, but a bit of moving around helped me figure it out.

2)No bugs.

3)Not most of the times, but the logic of the last one didn't quite make sense to me. Maybe i didn't understand it, feel free to explain.

4) The art fit the theme of the game pretty well.  Clean visuals suit puzzle games. :)

Thanks for playing!

Good feedback about the last level, and I’ll take that into account. In my head, the logic behind it is that you need to make a continuous wall between the windows and the exit so that the cold air can’t get anywhere near the door. The trolleys need to be placed so as not to leave any gaps (including diagonal ones) which would allow cold to leak through. Placing the mobile heater near the exit is tempting, but it means that you can’t block the right window so the effect kind of cancels out.

I think more specific instructions for all the levels would help, perhaps.

Glad you enjoyed the artwork and the game.

Nice work! I really like the concept and had fun with the game.

1) I got stuck for a while on the deadlock trolleys level, didn't realize you could move the heater. Also found that moving the trolleys wasn't very smooth/responsive sometimes.

2) Doesn't seem to have any bugs for me :)

3) With the deadlock trolleys level, the only instruction was to ask for assistance. Not too sure what that meant.

4) I like the look of the game objects/tiles, but would've liked it if the instructions panel was easier to read and clearer.

Thanks for the feedback! all good points, and I’ll keep them in mind.

Yeah I think the instructions and the UI panels in general could be made a bit clearer. Better instructions for the moving heater is a to-do as well.

Glad you enjoyed playing :)

1) fairly easy until the level with the moving heater and color.

2) I think I saw some weird text at the beginning

 3) I didn't notice that the heater was a heater at some moment.

Loved it! 1. Good clear puzzles, 2. Didn't notice anything  , 3. only room i got confused was with the first mobile heater untill I read the description.

1) They puzzles were easy enough when you've observed the room long enough.

2) In the first room the text could be cleaned up at the end.

3) The logic was clear.

Good job!
